Breastfeeding is natural, normal, and easy. In happy puppy kitty rainbow land, maybe. It ain't easy. It doesn't come naturally. It can be SUPER FRICKIN' PAINFUL. I know.

SusaMae had some trouble getting the hang of breastfeeding initially, so I sought the help of any random lactation consultant (LC) that I could. Turns out this lady, Cindy, lives about 10 minutes away from me and is phenomenal. She came to my house, helped me get Susannah to latch, and we were good to go. Fast forward 6 weeks. Susannah now does not want to latch on wiht the help of a nipple shield and has decided mama is much better. I'm cool with that. I'm not cool with her chomping my nips at every turn and making me want to cry at every feeding because my whole body is retching in pain.

Cindy is coming out again Thursday.

Scarlett never did get the hang of breastfeeding so I just pumped and bottle fed her. That sucked, too.

Being a mom is hard.
